This handsome boy is Harvest.
HARVEST is a male, Husky mix, approx 6 months old. He is neutuered and up to date on vaccinations and is ready to go to his forever home. We have no idea how big he will be but have an inkling he could be a big guy. Check out those ears!
He's pretty chill inside the house and is a fun and funny guy. He loves to play whether it be with humans, other dogs or just by himself. He has such a fun time with a squeaky ball, rolling around with it, tossing it and barking at it. He keeps himself quite entertained and the rest of us in his foster home, too. He enjoys a great bone or Kong with peanut butter. At one time we had a puppy foster (Autumn) and they played so nicely together even though Autumn was much smaller.
He is very friendly and great with kids and dogs. We were told he has met a cat before but has not been in contact with any while in foster care.
He's great in his crate and actually goes in by himself at bedtime. Harvest has only had one accident in the house while being in foster care for about 4 weeks, but it was foster Mom's fault for not paying attention that he was at the door. He loves going on walks and he's a great walker. Sometimes he's a bit excited and sassy at the beginning but soon settles into the groove and walks nicely in a pack with the other 2 dogs in the household. We have also had time with him on a long lead in a fenced, wooded area and field and he has a great time running with the other dogs and sniffing & exploring. He likes going in the car and usually lays and relaxes although he needs a little boost to get into the back hatch.
He knows his name and comes when called. He's very affectionate and loves to cuddle and will roll onto his back for a good belly rub.
He doesn't get into much mischief, although he has been known to participate in digging, steal the occasional shoe (but he doesn't chew it), and he has just figured out he's tall enough to check out what's on the counter. He's entering his teenage years and will sometimes talk back a bit with a little glint in his eye. He's very smart and learns very quickly and ultimately wants to please.
He's a great dog and a special family is going to be very lucky to adopt him. Is that you? If he sounds like he would fit into your family, put in an application.....quickly! You won't want to miss out on this guy.
