STRYKER is a five year old, 55lb, male Rottweiler mix who is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash and is good in the car.

STRYKER is best-suited as an ONLY DOG as he has a history of guarding resources with his 2 brothers over things such as food, bones and toys. We recommend a home with no children as he tends to jump up and can easily knock them down as he’s a strong boy. Children over the age of 12 should be fine with him though.

A CAT FREE home for this boy as he does have a high prey drive and loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks so we see him as being the same with cats. He loves humans but almost too much as he gets excited when anyone comes into the home or if he meets somebody new. He has a tendency to try to jump up on people (out of pure joy and love), which we are working on but as he is strong and they can get knocked over by his exuberance. A fenced yard is required to keep this guy safe.

STRYKER is doing great in his foster home and he’s enjoying the relaxed lifestyle of being an only dog with no other pets around. He loves routine and that’s what he has now and that would be required in his new home too. He thrives well with routine and he has it all figured out in his foster home so the ideal home for him should offer routine too. He’s very affectionate and loves to snuggle on the couch with you and hear you tell him what a good boy he is.

He is so ready to love a new owner but they will need to have experience with the Bully/Rottie breeds and be willing to take him to training to build that bond with him and make him the best he can be. The amazing Julia Clews of DoggieLicious has generously offered some free training sessions to his new people to help get them started out on the right paw

We all love STRYKER very much and want to see him adopted by the perfect forever home who can honour his needs and help him be the very best dog he can be. If this is you, then we’d love to hear from you.
