GENESIS is a very lovable, happy, playful guy who’s neutered, UTD on vaccines including rabies and microchipped. He’s housetrained and will let you know when he has to go outside for a bathroom break. He had a clean bill of health from the vet so now he’s just excitedly waiting for his forever family to come and take him home. The vet feels he could be a mix and possibly with a Bulldog but she’s just not 100% on that. 

He just loves people and gets very excited whenever he meets someone new. He does tend to jump up so because of that, we’re looking for a home for him with dog savvy children over the age of 10yrs old. He’s definitely come a long way in his foster home and getting lots of basic training to help him onto his road to a new life. We like to say that he’s 50% Boxer/50% an extremely happy guy.

GENESIS just loves to go on big walks and he especially enjoys hikes in the woods. The ideal family for him would be an active one to meet his exercise needs. He’s good on his leash but will pull when he gets excited and if he sees another dog. He just wants to say hi to them though but not every dog is receptive to that. Although his foster is working with him on his leash skills, we still recommend getting him some additional training to help him to walk calmly like a good boy. When he came into rescue we felt he had received zero in the way of training and we’ve seen a vast improvement in his overall behaviour including his manners.

He’s really good in his crate and he sleeps right through the night in it. He will also go in there willingly in the daytime for a nap too. He also loves to chill on his dog bed and chew on a bone. He loves playing with toys and he especially loves playing tug-of-war, he normally wins too. A fenced yard is a must as he loves to run around outside and burn off some of that Boxer energy. 

GENESIS is in a foster home with 2 other Boxers and they all get along great and play together well. He does seem to be good with all the dogs he’s met so we feel it’s safe to say he’ll get along with almost any dog he meets. He’s not cat tested but does have a high prey drive so we’re recommending no cats or small critters in the home.
