KIWI is a beautiful girl who has very unique markings. She’s microchipped, had her first and sets of vaccines plus her rabies shot and her vet has deemed her a healthy girl ready to find her forever home. She’s playful, smart and very eager to learn new things. She in a foster home with 4 other dogs of all sizes and she loves them all. She loves to go on pack walks with them and hiking in the woods. We feel she would do really well in a home with another dog as she loves being around other dogs and interacts really well with them. She’s looking for an active family who loves the outdoors as much as she does and a fenced yard is a must for her too so she can run around and play outside.
KIWI is a mix of Lab/Collie/Shepherd/Rottie that’s all rolled into one happy puppy. She’s crate trained and sleeps through the night in there and will sometimes hang out in there during the day too. She does like to lay on a dog bed too and sit there quietly and play with her toys on there. She’s doing well on her leash but will still need training to help her walk nicely on it. We’re saying she has droopy ears but they’ve just started to “pop up” and they seem to not be able to decide if they should go up or stay down. When she runs really fast her ears go into fast run mode and they just seem to want to bounce up and down and she just seems to have no control over them.
KIWI is really catching on quickly to house training and is about 95% there. She loves to play with toys and especially chew toys. She’s fit in really nicely with the foster family’s routine and loves it that someone’s home with her most of the day. She really doesn’t want to be a “crate puppy” and have no one home with her all day so a work from home family would be great for her or at least one that’s home most of the day. She does have a tendency to jump up so children 6 plus would suit her best. She’s never met a cat but with proper introductions and supervision, they should be fine together. She’s great in the car and lives to go n road trips, specially when they end up with a nice walk through in the woods.
Her spay is included in her adoption fee and will be done at 6 months of age and we do require you to be in agreement to this in order to adopt her.
We require training for our puppies to help them be the best they can be and prevent them from becoming unruly teenagers who are looking to be rehomed at a year old.
If you can offer KIWI the loving family she deserves then please fill out the adoption application.
