|
SPLASH hails from Kasabonita Lake and came south with his brother, Splish to find his forever family. He’s UTD on his puppy vaccines including his rabies shot and is microchipped. We know his mum was a Shepherd mix of about 45lbs but we have no knowledge of his dad. The breeds we noted are just an educated guess as they’re who he looks like and the same goes for the weight he’s expected to reach. He’s a very sweet puppy with a very laid back demeanour and easy going nature. This boy is all Husky though, from the look of him to the Husky attitude he has so an experienced Husky owner and an experienced dog owner is required for him.
SPLASH’s love of squeaky toys and water knows no bounds and his intelligence shines through with the commands he knows like sit, down, place, break, attn to name, touch/recall, leave it. His recall is just amazing for such a young pup and he always comes running when he’s called. He’s being fostered by a trainer and this is why he knows all these commands and he’s actively involved in all the training classes offered by his foster. He gets along well with the many dogs he’s met in his foster home and he loves to play chase with them. He’s shy of strangers but it doesn’t take him long to warm up to them. He’s a very expressive and vocal little guy plus loving and saucy. He’s crate trained but will vocalize when he first gets in it but he does sleep through the night in there. He will also take his naps in it during the day as he now knows it’s his safe place to be. He is now housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go outside for a bathroom break.
SPLASH is a bit shy in some circumstances but when he’s with a buddy he opens right up so he would best suit having another dog in the home. He’s a very expressive and vocal little guy. He loves going in the water and having a “splash” around. He’s never met a cat but with a slow introduction they should get along just fine especially if the cat is dog savvy.
SPLASH is looking for an active family who will take him on long walks and hikes in the woods to help him burn off some of that Husky puppy energy. He travels very well in a vehicle and would love his new family to also take him on road trips and adventures with them. He has someone home with him most of the day and he’d love it if his new home would offer him that too. We need him to be in a home with a fully fenced yard and children should be 6 plus.
As with all our puppies we do require you to get them obedience training but in his case, to continue with his training. Our rescue policy is to have all our puppies neutered/spayed by 6 months of age and we also need you to be in agreement with that in order to adopt him.
If SPLASH sounds like your type of guy then please fill out the adoption application to meet him.
