HICKORY hails from St Theresa Point in Northern Manitoba. He was attacked by a large dog who bit his right eye causing him to need an eye enucleation. After his surgery he was then flown to Ontario to our rescue so we could find him his forever home. He’s microchipped, had his first vaccines, neutered and been deemed healthy and ready to find his family. He just wants a family who accepts him for who he is and will love him just the way he is. We have no knowledge of his parents so we really have no idea on the size he’ll grow to be or what breed he is and what we have listed for him is merely a guess. 
Although he went through such awful trauma so early in his little life, it hasn’t affected him at all and he’s just a happy-go-lucky, energetic guy who still loves to be around other dogs. He’ll play non-stop with the other two fosters in the home and they’ll wrestle, give chase to one another and play with toys together for hours on end. 

HICKORY loves going on walks and gets excited when he knows he’s going on one and his favourite part is meeting dogs along the way. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night in it without a peep and will also hang out in it during the day. Housetraining is a work in progress as he’s still a bit too young to ask to go out for a bathroom break. He’s really good at going outside, especially on his walks though. He’s met a cat and if there’s one in the home, we do recommend that they be dog savvy and have a slow introduction. Children should be aged 8 plus as he’s a nippy puppy and likes to nibble on fingers and toes. He also loves to jump up and can easily knock them over. We need you to be in agreement with getting him obedience training so he can be the best boy he can be.
