|
MAHOGANY hails from Pikangikum and came south in search of her forever home. She’s had her first vaccines, microchipped and been deemed healthy by her vet and ready for her family. Her breed is bit of a mystery seeing as we have no knowledge on either parent. She’s extremely tiny and looks just like a black Shepherd but a miniature sized one. The size she will be is merely a guess as we really have no idea on what size she will become.
Don’t let her dainty looks fool you though as she’s very feisty and keeps the other 2 bigger foster pups in their place.
MAHOGANY is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it over night. She loves to go on walks and has just got to the stage where she doesn’t expect to be carried part of the way. Housetraining’s a work in progress still and she’s currently using newspaper to go on in the home. She does like to nibble on fingers and toes so we are saying children 8 and up for her. The ideal family for her would be an active one who realizes that although she’s just a teeny girl, she still needs to get her exercise and go on walks. She’s always up for an adventure too and loves to go ion car rides. A fenced in yard is required for her to help keep her safe. She has met a cat but wasn’t too interested in him so as long as a cat is dog savvy, they should get along just fine.
Like all puppies, MAHOGANY needs obedience training and her new family has to commit to getting that for her. She also needs to have someone home with her for part of the day to work on her housetraining and to keep her socialized like she is now. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and will be performed by 6 months of age.
If MAHOGANY sounds like the girl for you then please complete the adoption application to meet her.
