About BLAZE | |
|
|
BLAZE was found as a stray and taken to a local Pound but never claimed. We were more than happy to take him into our rescue and give him the second chance that he so deserves. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated including rabies and Bordetella plus he’s microchipped. When he first came into foster care he was very underweight and scared of everything around him and basically of life itself. I’m happy to say that’s no longer who he is and he’s thriving and getting more confident about just being a dog everyday. We can only imagine what sort of life he had up until when he ended up at the Pound so a family to love him and help him thrive is who he’s looking for.
BLAZE is fully housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go outside for the bathroom. He’s also crate trained and sleeps quietly in it all night with it covered and he snuggles up with his teddy and blanket. He will also nap in there in the daytime as he knows it’s his safe place to be. He’s doing really well with his leash training and walks nicely beside you. He needs a family that will continue with training including obedience classes to help him be the best boy he can be. He’s very smart, eager to please and knows many of the basic commands so training classes should be a breeze for him.
BLAZE’s ideal family is one who is active and has a live if the outdoors as he loves adventures and he’d love them to take him on lots of them. that would take him on. He loves being in a vehicle and will get excited when he knows he’s going out. He needs lots of exercise to burn off some of that puppy energy and he loves to run around in the yard with his toys so a fenced in yard is important for him. He’s still very much a puppy in his antics and talks to you when he wants food or to go outside. He will put things in his mouth that he’s not allowed to but is easily corrected. He has another dog in his foster home and they get along well together as he’s very submissive with her so he would definitely suit a home with another dog. He hasn’t met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy and introductions slow and monitored then they should get along just fine. We recommend children aged 10 and up as we don’t really know if he’s spent anytime with them and he hasn’t in his foster home.
If BLAZE sounds like the type of guy for you then please put in an application to meet him.
