COPPER is one of 4 dogs that we rescued from the Pound and his case, we could see what a great gentle puppy he was. We knew we could help him on his journey to find a new life and family. When we met him we could see what a lovely affectionate and friendly guy he was and there was no way we were leaving without him that day. He’s neutered, vaccinated including rabies plus he’s microchipped. This boy just lives everyone and he loves to hang out with his people. Chilling with them in the couch os one of his favourite things to do. Don’t forget he’s still a young dog do he dies have lots of energy and needs daily exercise.
COPPER is being fostered with one of our wonderful trainers and she says he’s super smart and learns very quickly. The best compliment she gives him is that he’s “just a perfect dog.” He knows many commands like sit, shake-a-paw, down, place & stay. He walks well on his leash and loves to go for walks. He’s well socialized with other dogs as he has a few in his foster home and they’ve accepted him into their pack. Even with his puppy antics they soon realized that he just wants to be friends. He’s housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go outside to the bathroom. He’s crate trained but does make bit of a fuss when he first goes in but will settle down and sleep soundly through the night.
COPPER loves his playtime and will frolic around the yard with one of his many toys. He’ll also play chase with the resident dogs which helps him to burn off some of that puppy energy and therefore a fenced yard is required for him. His ideal family will be an active one who’ll take him on big walks, hiking on the trails and lots of adventures. He travels well in a vehicle and is eager to get into one and be on the road to adventure. He hasn’t met a cat so we’re not sure how he’ll interact with one but if the cat is dog savvy and introductions slow and supervised then it could be possible they can coexist. For children we’re saying 10 and up due to the fact he hasn’t met many.
If COPPER sounds like the type of dog for your family then please put in an adoption application to meet him.
