REDWOOD was found living outside in a colony with about 40 other cats and kittens. She was trapped along with most of the others and sent to rescues to find them their forever homes. She’s spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, deemed healthy by her vet and ready to start her new life.
REDWOOD was extremely timid when she came into rescue and spent weeks just hiding from everyone. Fast forward to 4 weeks later and she’s at the stage that she’ll come out from her hiding place to see who’s around. She still needs work to help her to learn to trust her humans and that they are her friends. She’ll now run around and chase her toys but she’s still not ready to snuggle her human yet. She needs a home that will understand that it will take time and patience for her to become the purring lap kitty that she wants to be.
REDWOOD would benefit being in a home with another cat but she’d also do well being on her own. She hasn’t met young children but seeing as she’s still quite timid, aged 10 and up would suit her best. She’s in a foster home with dogs but she hasn’t really interacted with them so if there’s a dog in the home, we strongly recommend a slow introduction under supervision with her and a dog and that dog should be cat savvy. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and will be performed by the age of 6 months.
If REDWOOD sounds like a kitten you can help to be the best she can be then please fill out an application to meet her.
