|
PARKA was rescued from a community where she and her siblings were strays and had no one taking care of them. When she came into rescue (along with her sister) she was so malnourished that we don’t think she would’ve lasted much longer due to being so emancipated. Fast forward to today and she looks so healthy, had gained weight and has a lovely glossy coat. She has been spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and been deemed a happy, healthy girl by her vet and ready to find her forever home. This sweet girl is very affectionate and loves her people and will just act like a shadow and follow them around everywhere they go.
PARKA is crate trained and will sleep in it all night without a peep. She will reluctantly go in it during the day but she’d much prefer to take her naps on her dog bed. Her housetraining has been really successful and she now knows to go outside, she does get frequent trip She loves to go on walks and does quite well on her leash but as with all puppies, she will try and outrun you. She travels well in a vehicle and is always up for an adventure or two.
PARKA’s ideal family would be a quiet but active one that loves to go on walks and hikes just like she does. She’s still a puppy so needs lots of exercise and a chance to burn off that puppy energy so she requires a fenced-in yard to run around and play in. She would also love it if someone’s around most of the day as she loves the company. She is food motivated and is being fed in her crate to make her realize that the other dogs are not after her food and this will help to slow her down when she eats too. Children should be 6 and up and be dog savvy.
PARKA is very well socialized with other dogs as she has several in her foster home. She loves to run and play chase with them and they can also be caught cuddling together on the couch or the dog bed. She has a cat in her foster home but she doesn’t bother with him at all. A slow introduction should be made with a cat in her new home though and it always helps if the cat is dog savvy.
Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need you to be in agreement to sign her up for obedience/puppy classes in order to adopt her.
If PARKA sounds like she would be a good fit for you if your family then please fill out the adoption application to meet her.
