|
PEPSI hails from Deer Lake in Northern Ontario and came south with his 2 siblings (Tizer and Ribena) in search of his forever home. He’s had his 3 sets of puppy vaccines including his rabies, is microchipped and has now been deemed healthy by his vet and ready to find his family. The breeds that we have him noted as are just a guess as is the weight he’ll grow be as an adult. This loving little guy has the most beautiful red brindle coat that makes him stand out and look pretty unique.
PEPSI is crate trained and sleeps quietly in a covered one through the night plus he’ll take a daytime nap in it as well. He’s full of energy and he’s an intelligent little guy who’s already learning the fundamental commands and loves to show how smart he is. He will retrieve a ball for you as long as you are willing to keep throwing it for him. He’s a real charmer and you won’t be able to resist his personality. He has a zest for showing you how loving he is by giving you lots of cuddles and kisses. He’s well socialized with other dogs and he has 2 large dogs in his foster home and spends lots of time playing and chasing with them outside. He loves to go on walks and gets excited when he knows he’s going on one. He’s good on his leash but like all puppies he does pull and likes to run ahead of you. He’s never met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy plus a proper introduction is made then they should get along. He requires a fenced-in yard so he can be kept safe and we recommend children be 6 and up for him.
PEPSI’s housetraining is going really well and he’s 99% there as he’ll let you know when he has to go out by giving a little cry. He takes his treats “gentle” and always sits for them plus his meals. His ideal family is one that will take him on lots of walks and hikes. He loves the outdoors and travels well in a vehicle so will always be up for an adventure or two. He would do best with an owner that isn’t working long days away from the home as he’s used to someone being around with him most of the day.
PEPSI is a survivor of the Parvo virus but he pulled through it just fine and you would never know how sick the virus made him especially when you watch him play and show off his zest for life. We suggest you talk to your veterinarian about this virus but we do feel it’s not going to affect his life at all other than you may want to feed him a good brand of GI kibble.
Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need his adopter to be in agreement to sign him up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt him.
His neuter is included in his adoption fee and as per our rescue policy, will be performed by around 8 months of age or by the time he’s 60lbs (whichever comes first.) We also need you to be in agreement with this in order to adopter him.
If you would like to meet PEPSI then please fill out the adoption application to do so.
