|
PETAL hails from Dryden and headed south to find herself a family to call her very own. She is spayed, vaccinate including rabies and microchipped. The breeds we have her listed as are just an educated guess based on the breeds she looks like as we have no knowledge on her parents. She is full grown and won’t be growing any bigger other than maybe putting on a pound or two. This beautiful girl with one blue eye and one brown is just the gentlest soul who loves to be around her people. She’s also very loving and loves nothing more than to cuddle with you on the couch and being told what a good girl she is.
PETAL is well socialized with other dogs and has got along well with all the ones she’s met. She has 2 dogs in her foster home and they all play very well together. She needs a home with a fenced yard so she can run around and play and be kept safe. She’s had no formal training but she does walk nicely on a leash but would benefit from some formal leash training too. She’s crate trained and will sleep quietly in it at night but she’s not so much a fan of it during the daytime. She’s house trained and will let you know when she wants to go outside for a bathroom break.
PETAL’s been having a fun cottage life and loves to go swimming and paddle boarding. She definitely had an adventurous side and she’d love an active family that will see she has a life full of adventure in her future. She would suit a home with another dog but would also do well as an only dog provided she has people around her for most of the day. She’s great with children and has a 4yr old in her foster home and they’ve already become fast friends. She hasn’t met a cat so we’re not recommending a home with one in it.
This lovely, brave little girl was hit by a vehicle and suffered a broken pelvis and femur. She has had extensive X-rays and it’s been determined that she didn’t need surgery but crate rest to heal her broken bones. She’s had around 6 weeks of crate rest and that’s what helped her bones to heal. She has no noticeable limp from her injuries but if she’s had a busy day a slight limp has been noticed come the evening. She does do between a 2-3k walk every morning and has no trouble keeping up with the young dog she walks with. It’s recommended that she be on a supplement for the rest of her life to keep her bones strong and healthy.
