About PORRIDGE | |

|
PORRIDGE is part of the Breakfast Litter who hails from North Spirit Lake and headed south with her mum and siblings (Waffle, Granola, Cereal and Smoothie) to find their loving families. She’s had her first set of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer, Revolution and been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. Her spay is booked for April 29th so her adopter would need to be available to bring her to Barrie for it. This high energy little “Minnie the Minx” was the first one to try anything new including jumping into the hammock at the top of their catio. They now all sleep in it cozily snuggled up at night but she did sleep a couple of nights on her own before they were brave enough to step into it. She’s the boss of the group seeing as she’s the only female and in the daytime she’ll often sleep in a soft pink bed while her 3 brothers curl up on top of a tyre type cat bed. She likes to be held and snuggled but not for long as she wants to go off and see what she can discover to play with. She does like the crinkle toys and also to climb on top of the cat scratching post.
PORRIDGE is litter box trained and had it figured out at 4 weeks of age. She’s fostered with puppies so would suit being in a home with a dog. She also has a cat in the foster home that she interacts with so would suit being with another cat in the home. In both cases we still suggest a slow, monitored introduction and if a dog, that it be kept leashed during their initial meetings. She loves chasing her brothers through the tunnel and knocking the bell toys across the floor. She’s just started to climb the cat tree but she’s at the stage where she thinks you run up it to simply run down it again. She eats both kibble and wet food plus she’s quite partial to Temptation treats. Children have to be aged 6 plus and be loving, gentle and considerate to animals.
PORRIDGE’s adopter must be in agreement for her spay date listed above (we can be flexible by a day or two if that day doesn’t work for them) but it has to be done by 4 months of age as per our rescue policy and adoption agreement. The adopter can use their own vet for the surgery and we will reimburse what we would’ve paid at the SPCA. We just need a copy of the spay invoice and a current photo (preferably in her onsie or cone) to do so.
If PORRIDGE sounds like he’ll fit right in with you/your family then please submit an adoption application to meet him.
