BRANSTON finds himself in rescue and looking for his new home through new fault of his own. He’s neutered, vaccinated including a rabies shot, taken Dolpac, had a 4DX blood test and a urine test results of which will be discussed in the phone interview with successful applicant. He’s a loving, wonderful boy who just loves to be with his people and will follow you around wherever you go. He has a little stuffie that’s a cow and he likes to carry it around with him and also put his chin on it when he has a nap.
BRANSTON is housetrained and will cry at the door when he has to go out for the bathroom. He doesn’t use a crate due to his age but can be trusted to be left alone as he’s never gotten into anything in his foster home. He’s a strong big boy so his new owner would have to be strong enough to take him on his walks. He’s walked on a harness that has the leash hooked onto the front of it rather than on his back. It does limit his pulling and makes it a lot easier to walk him that way. Leash training is highly recommended for him though just so he’s easier to handle while walked. He’s well socialized with dogs of both sexes and all sizes. He has 2 cats in his foster home and was very curious of them at first but now they co-exist very well. Not quite at the snuggle stage though but given time, there’s a good chance that will happen.
BRANSTON has good manners and will sit for his meals and take treats very gently. He doesn’t have any food aggression that his foster has noticed and he loves his meal times. He can shake a paw and knows “come on boy.” He’s very trusting and believes everyone’s his friend and they’re all greeted with a happy tail wagging boy whether they’re strangers or not. Be absolutely loves going for car rides and will happily jump in the vehicle when he knows he’s going on one. He was great when he went for a bath and seemed to really enjoy getting lathered up. He also didn’t mind the blow dryer but he’s not a fan of getting his nails cut as per the groomer.
BRANSTON ideal family would be an active one who loves to go on walks, hikes and basically enjoys the outdoor life. He loves to go swimming so being campers or having a cottage life would be right up his alley. A fenced yard would be ideal to keep him safe and somewhere he can run around and play. Children should be aged 10 and up plus be respectful of his space. They should also be gentle, loving and kind to animals.
If BRANSTON sounds like he would fit into your lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him.
